I began announcing with WCPE shortly after I was hired in October 2012. Iíve always gravitated towards music and technology, and upon meeting Dick Storck, who saw an announcer in me, my amazing journey at WCPE began.
I joined the U.S. Army in 2009. After basic training, I studied at DINFOS (Defense Information School) in Fort Meade, Maryland, as a combat photographer and videographer. We studied alongside the soldiers studying to be army radio and TV broadcasters, so I quickly fostered a passion for announcing.
I prefer genres like electronic and rock/jazz fusion, but I find joy in nearly all kinds of music. My favorite type of Classical music has to be cinematic (and sometimes operatic) pieces. It puts me right in the story. I did not fully appreciate Classical music until my time at WCPE began, and now it is up there in my top three genres! From after-school garage bands to worship band at my local church, Iíve played drums and piano from the age of 11. Above any trade or skill, performing a musical instrument is the most enjoyable thing to me.
